@futurebird "Gamification" to me, personally is exclusionary as I never got into playing computer games despite growing up surrounded by them.When people discuss "gamer" terms I have no fucking idea what they're talking about.Frankly, it often sounds like they're in a really fucked up cult.

@futurebird It sounds like, in the scene in the hostage drama movie, where the captor after threatening to kill them if a ransom isn't paid, has a gun to the blindfolded hostage's head and pulls the trigger but nothing happens. The captor then laughs maniacally while the hostage pisses their pants.

@futurebird Plenty of 1 bedroom flats here in Australia, have bathrooms too small for baths and only have showers, a loo, and a sink and washing machine taps if it's a little bit more expensive.

@futurebird @neckspike When I was a kid (in thoroughly suburban Melbourne, Australia), the garbos (Garbage collectors) were council employees (unlike now, they're private contractors) and they were always the same two or three men. My Mum would always leave a six pack of beer out for them with the bins at Christmas time. Can't remember about the postie (Postal worker). But again they were AustPost employees and not underpaid essentially glorified gig workers.

@futurebird When it comes to my ME/CFS many people are the same about "traditional" Chinese "medicine", or naturopathy, homoeopathy, acupuncture, etc etc.If I haven't tried it, because it's bullshit, a scam or otherwise failed to be proved by standards we'd expect of any treatment to be funded under the pharmaceutical benefits scheme (Australia), I "mustn't actually want to get well" - verbatim quote from do many incredulous morons and ultimately people I don't ever want to speak to ever again.#JunkScience #MECFS
