@mjg59 I improved stability a lot by adding a few cheap Ikea repeaters to the mesh and shifting wifi channels a bit.

@mjg59 oh that certainly complicates thingsIt's totally understandable (but never mentioned explicitly) that battery devices don't participate in the mesh

@mjg59 I had some that refused to use a new nearby repeater until paired again, the topology map sometimes made no sense to me (so I just threw in more repeaters). I'm assuming this all depends of the devices firmware

A coworker had the idea of making this resistance decade, then somebody decided to make a whole bunch of them and hand them out at different locations (and at customers). And now the gerber files are available for download!https://www.dekimo.com/resistance-decade/And we're always looking for more people with such fun ideas, so if you're excellent at hardware design or embedded and want to work for us, ping me or go to the website

@foone I do remember self-modifying executables (at least one, it wrote settings inside the exe because why bother with a separate file), but this one appears to be self-corrupting

Ok here's how you do this: use the python tool to flash as many strings as you have badges, the first being the text you want, the other strings with spaces.Tool: https://github.com/fossasia/led-name-badge-ls32Then use the second button to cycle through the messages, it goes through individual strings and then the combination. Cycle to the last individual string so the next push starts the combo. When the previous badge starts showing pixels, push the button to start this one. Tada.
