       #FossilFriday ! No, this is not Archaeopteryx, but it is from the Solnhofen Limestone Laggerstatten, Germany, so it probably died right next to a famous Archaeopteryx carcass.        How about abstract molluscan art for #FossilFriday ? We have a new system for describing shells according to how molluscs evolved, and how the shell actually grows, in contrast to geometric descriptions of shell form. Governed by a single equation!
