@TechConnectify Have you worked out how long it takes to heat up the motors compared to the battery pack? I'm motors have about 1/10th the mass of the battery packs, so I'd be surprised if it adds more than 10% to the warming time.Seems like it could be a good tradeoff to reduce weight and cost.

@Stinkie @jernej @TechConnectify Yes, tactile controls I agree aren't worth the cost/weight reduction. But for things like battery heaters, I'm not going to second guess the engineers.

@Stinkie @jernej @TechConnectify Also, IIRC the removal of USB ports was purely due to supply chain issues and you could get them reinstalled later at the dealer once parts became available again.

@midnightmagic @pwuille What kind of cleaner solution? Spam prevention with email's design is fundamentally hard. Hashcash would have likely failed due to botnets and Asics; Bitcoin Lightning didn't exist until very recently.

@ijatz_La_Hojita I speak English, not Ukrainian, so pretty much all the GoPro camera footage stuff I run into is from the foreign volunteers. The Ukrainians filming themselves are mainly speaking Ukrainian or Russian so I don't run into this style of video from them.

@ijatz_La_Hojita Wager is not all Russian. They recruit from many different countries. Apparently a few days ago Ukrainian forces even captured some Germans who had joined Wagner.Though I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot more foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine than foreigners fighting for Russia. People like to fight for the good guys.

For starters, there's a lot more Russian speaking Ukrainians than that... and Russia has done a great job of destroying any remaining support. It's the eastern, so-called "Russian" parts of Ukraine that have been the most devastated by Russian atrocities.

@ijatz_La_Hojita No one is fighting under a NATO flag, and foreign volunteers are a tiny % of the total. I've been in Ukraine a few weeks during the war. I've seen first hand how there's Ukrainian military everywhere; foreigners are a tiny %.Huge numbers of Ukrainians didn't have a choice about going to Russia, and there's a steady stream of them finding their way out of Russia. Hell, Russia has straight up kidnapped children, an extremely grave violation of human rights.

@kalle @harding The simultaneous payment attack is one really good reason why so few merchants accept unconfirmed payments. It has been exploited before and people have lost a ton of money due to it.
