@person I do not know the technicalities, but for example, misskey (from the average user point of view) has multiple types of likes (thumb up, heart, ...), but it is still backwards compatible with mastodon, so for example, if I like your post with a heart on misskey, you will still see it just a like a regular like on mastodon. Misskey (at least it is my opinion) has a slightly better multimedia handling, etc.. But very very similar to mastodon. Pleroma should be a lightweight "clone" of masto

@person yeah, this was also advised by someone alse. I have some yeti mic at work, so I will try to borrow it for videos, that should be more than enough.

@person I just wanted to see at first, if it is worth to do more than just a simple screencast. Because, you know, to buy a microphone, edit videos.. and get 1 view.. not worth it.. with 20+ views, that is something I will do, especially if people think that those videos have something to say.

Just bare in mind, one of the reasons why I am doing this channel is also to practise a spoken english language. So, I am not an expert on anything, but I think this could be a good opportunity to speak a little every day.

Back in 2003-4, when I wanted to really slow my computer down (with 256 MB of RAM), I needed to run almost every single installed program to even get into the swap. Now? Start any browser and 2 gigs are gone, not even need to load a page.
