       @foone Will she be watching on something that can download media player apps? I once tried pirating a single movie to a usb drive for my dad to watch on his 4K Blu-ray player and to my shock it did not support playing HEVC files over USB, despite being a damn 4K Blu-ray player.

       @sarahjamielewis what if we paid for the web browser. $10.99 to get a web browser that doesn't suck. You can use like a pared down version without tabs or something for free, and ideally it will be so immediately obvious how nice it is you'll immediately pay the 10.99 and never look back. That might be able to financially support such a project if it's ambitious and good enough and word spreads quickly.

       @sr3 @RealJournalism I despise the conservative doublespeak of cheering on the idea of AI replacing "unskilled" jobs (there's no such thing) but then turning around and telling anyone who's struggling to make ends meet to "just go get a job, Amazon is always hiring."

       @ShadowJonathan my father has had to concoct an entire script to give people that "when I ask why you want something done a certain way I'm not insulting you or the way you do things I am genuinely curious as to the reasoning behind your methods" and people at work still get mad at him for wanting to know why things work the way they do.
