@futurebird I think the "loneliness epidemic" is because women would rather be alone than date a guy who sucks. This is also true for queer relationships, but it's especially a thing among straight people.I've heard lesbians have a high divorce rate, but I'm willing to attribute that to the lesbian tendency to U-Haul across the country to be with someone you've never met irl.

@futurebird the grey wood stuff is trying to look like a farmhouse modern version of like French Rococo. Which, ideally, you'd make out of wood with a flashy beautiful grain and then the little hand-carved flourishes show off that it's not just that the wood is very high quality, but the shop that made it has a master woodcarver that just does acanthus leaf embellishments all day.Of course, that leads to plaster embellishments on wood, which is gilded and/or painted.
