Fedora Linux is not yet ready for #ipv6mostly network. I guess we have to improve that. But we do not yet have #ipv6 production connectivity in #redhat offices. Not even dual stack, let alone just ipv6. Where would we test it?

@tschaefer no, I think that allows older applications to work, even if their vendor haven't made them ready for ipv6 only network. Open-source is ready usually, but is also proprietary software? Even the old one? It seems necessary to me.

@tschaefer also laptop autoconfiguration should be able to use just ipv6 on dual stack networks if requested. Current NM cannot do it without manual connection modification

@wolf480pl @bagder it comes back to secure identification of the network you are connected to. I can configure Tor connection just on router and have it handled for all devices home. But we lack protocol to signal .onion support to connected clients. Especially one backed by some crypto proof, not trivially forgable. Similar to VPN configured on the router, with some private namespace like .internal domain. DoT can handle it if properly configured.

@wolf480pl @bagder yes, that is why network needs to prove itself to the client, not otherwise. Client then can enable Tor usage only on trusted networks, when it knows where it is. IMO could be done by RFC 8801 support, by having TLS enabled JSON addition including dnsDomains: onion. But NM nor systemd-networkd do not support that (yet?). It would allow client to be passive until it gets proof.

@wolf480pl @bagder and it gets somehow complicated, because first network should indicate it can offer .onion, but client shouldn't use it unless it has *also* permission given by user on client, using network identification provided for decision. In theory, public ssh key of the router or it's https cert could provide network identification enough.

@wolf480pl @bagder yes, exactly. Just to give system way to auto-enable .onion on this network, make the user to mark this network trusted and trust it again after reconnection. With encrypted wifi with decent password, SSID might be enough. On ethernet wire, similar identification is usually missing. How much you trust you lan would be up to you, but should not be trusted by default.

@wolf480pl @bagder you need somehow complex infrastructure and configuration for that . Provisioning domains (RFC 8801) can work on SOHO routers fine. Combination of FQDN and TLS cert should be enough.

Pokud to nemá falšovanou technickou.

Is there significant price difference between green and blue LEDs? Why do so many devices contain blue light sources? Bought a light to my bed. It will start blue light when battery is fully charged. I can sleep with it, but I doubt it helps.
