Microsoft Teams is a screaming useless misbegotten whoring dog of a program. I registered to participate in a community forum, made sure all my devices were seen by the application and attempted to log in only to learn my personal Microsoft account was not usable for said forum as I needed to be logged into an organisational account, which I lack any access to. When I eventually got in as a guest using the web version the audio from the presenter was too choppy to be understood.Application uninstalled. Turd of a fucken thing.

@lain Back in the days of the Roman Empire, the famous Emperor Nero instituted a new game. The players would take those little disks you set your glass on in order to protect the furniture, and see who could get the most distance rolling them across the floor. They were the first roller coasters. Back in those days, the disks were made of iron, and they would bet on whose disk would roll the farthest. They called them ferrous wheels.

@grammargirl @hugh I do. Two computers in regular use, one laptop, one desktop. Both are Apple Silicon devices. Both are backed up twice weekly to separate Time Machine HDDs and cloned via SuperDuper and CarbonCopyCloner to separate SSDs. That’s a total of eight external drives. I have had clones and Time Machine backups fail twice in the last year.
