       @pixelfed I've tried out the android app for a couple days. It feels generally very slow -- some image loads take 10-20 seconds. Is that an expected/known issue? I'm on WiFi with VPN. No performance issues with other websites and apps.

       @futurebird I think you're right that learning some basics about DNS would help unblock you from publishing stuff on different domains or subdomains. It's a little confusing at first, but I have no doubt it would all click into place. Good luck!

       @futurebird if it hasn't already been recommended, Netlify is a pretty simple service that might be a good fit. They make it pretty easy to publish a website and connect a domain.To clarify, they do have some pretty complex stuff available, but the simpler stuff they provide is really user-friendly.
