I'm becoming less and less comfortable with the broad application of FediBlock I fully understand it if an entire instance is based on harrassment or is 4chan like, but if there is one or a handful of offenders, is it justified to defederate the thousands of people going about their lives? Yes, they can switch instances, but many won't. They will simply be punished. Collective punishment is not permissible under most legals systems for very good reasons.[Edited to remove hashtag]

2022: Google had profits of 256 Billion dollars. 2023: Google lays off 12,000 people, some with 16+ years of service. Those who worship at the altar of unrestrained capitalism, how much is enough? If a company makes more than a quarter trillion dollars, is that not sufficent? At what point is the concentration of wealth too much?EDIT: Thanks to @n3bulous for pointing out that I confused revenue with profit. They only made only 13.9B dollars. I'm still pissed, but want to be accurate.

@StillIRise1963 I'm sorry that happened to you. I really wish some of your friends had intervened.I was six when my school was desgregated by bussing. The children in general were no more or less welcoming than children are of any new group. Other than the teachers, the adults--they were a different matter. That was the first time in my life I saw and heard grownups that angry.
