The thread below has confirmation, but I am blocking web.brid.gy website bridge account @peoplesdefender.com since the end links results in a website hijacker with a fake CloudFlare challenge that opens a full screen #rhadamanthys stealer that mimics Windows Update. #FediBlock #InfoSec. I don't know how many people in the Fediverse might come across a post and click the link and be taken to the website. I notified the newspaper yesterday, both electronically, fax and by phone to its local and main corporate office and they have yet to do anything about it or take action. You can see, almost 24-hours later, by looking at the website archive, it is not remediated. https://archive.ph/www.peoplesdefender.comThe post if your instance doesn't show quotes: https://oldfriends.live/@paul/115389775460471191

Looks like there is work to "federate" #jellyfin. ...Multiple Jellyfin servers sharing content. One project says, "This Jellyfin plugin allows multiple Jellyfin servers to federate, sharing media libraries in real-time without syncing or copying files. Media can be streamed from one server to another with live transcoding if necessary."#selfhosting https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-federation-system

@Jason844 I have a buffet table I made in high school shop class in 1987 and I often think about the flaws, screw-ups, etc. but that plays second to the fact that I made it, still use and enjoy it, etc. Many a meal, birthday celebration, party, etc. was hosted on that table over the nearly 40 years... None of the spindle legs match from my lathe work, except in length, and each have there own quirks and I have story for each one. The avg person won't notice but I do. lol.

Our vehicle is over 23 years old. I dread when we reach its EOL. The newer models have so many electronics, so connected, etc. We don't want that. We don't want to rely on components that rely on OTA software updates, subscription maintenance fees, accessories that are packaged in subscriptions, etc. Seriously considering doing an EV conversion without all the car manufacturer's lock in with an older vehicle.

RE: https://oldfriends.live/@hashtaggames/115613518097191258Today's #RoadTripComplaints #HashTagGames is inspired by my day. I traveled 180 miles round trip to the doctor and was there for 15 minutes. The trip going and coming was in rain downpours, and at times, dense fog. Slow going out of #AppalachianOhio and rush hour city traffic coming back.Only good thing is, we stopped at Habitat for Humanity ReStore was was able to buy a used, but still in awesome condition, Jeld-Weld exterior French patio door, molding included and pre-hung frame, for $125. Same door new at Lowe's is $1396. Same door! A door like this was on our bucketlist for like 2 years from now after we saved $10 here and $10 there.

@futurebird Very true about fragrances (smells) and memories. The smell of cornbread baking moves me emotionally because the grandmother (1910-1995) that raised me made a new pan of cornbread everyday, nearly, of my life. It brings back so many memories.

@Infoseepage It's been clarified since it broke a few days ago by the company which owns the plane. The crew says they never lost consciousness and let it activate as a precaution. The computer selected the speech and words to use. https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/plane-emergency-landing-colorado-autoland/I would hope the FAA would read the black box and other data and make a report about it. It doesn't look like an incident is posted yet at the FAA for Dec 20 and the plane left the following day. https://www.asias.faa.gov/apex/f?p=100:93:::NO::: @stux 🔗 Garmin Autoland Activation Was Crew DecisionCharter company clarifies circumstances behind first reported real-world use of emergency landing system.https://avweb.com/aviation-news/garmin-autoland-activation-crew-decision/

@futurebird When my wife and I first got together over 35-years ago, I had a poison ivy vine growing in a pot in my kitchen. I thought it was pretty. I'm not allergic. She is and had a really bad allergic reaction just being in the kitchen. It was a medical emergency. Our 3 and a half decade long romance almost didn't happen.

@futurebird Same. We rarely run around in the summer prepared for too much heat but the first frosty night in September and the car is loaded with coats, blankets, etc "just in case..." We literally, and have for years, have a "winter" kit ready to slide into the car.

LOL when someone asks you your honest opinion, insists on it even, and then they get mad or take offense.
