@vincentj I haven’t seen that poem before. I thought it was a reference to Norse mythology. Interesting. I don’t believe in an afterlife, but do believe patterns recur. I may not see my pet, but a pet very like them will probably meet someone very like me. It’s not much to some, but it gives me comfort.

@lowqualityfacts After selling a car, I carried a small stack of 500 euro bills in my wallet, and I didn't spend any of them for over a year. It really helped me control spending. You have to really really want something to break a 500.
