I clearly am so immensely not welcome here. I have tried to withdraw more and more and it doesn't work. I found some software that I could figure out how to run and that I thought looked ok. That's all. I'm super tired of all of this tbh.

I'm hoping a Rust new implementation is usable soon, when it is I will switch to that. Every piece of tech has assholes in it - it sucks but that is unfortunately where we are.

I don't even know what this means "do a lot of federating before it gets better, an unmoderated fedi experience is hell" - how do I do "federating" and what do you mean by "unmoderated fedi experience"? If anything I ran here to get away from people.

So far most of the toxicity is "toxic positivity" and tone policing. I blocked one or two people, but mostly what is hard is self described "nice people" telling me everything I do is not Mastodonian enough.

I tried to figure out if akkoma would work, but one of the features I had high hopes for was Pleromas Chats and someone told be they had been removed in the fork. I find DMs here very confusing and easy to do wrong and accidentally share something with someone you don't want to share with. So I wanted to check out Chats. Which seem great and I hope other implementations also start using.
