If you’re look for some USB cards for an old Powermac, these work under 10.4, are 2.0, and run about $5 on EBay. Trying them under 9 next.

I hate it when you have awesome shower ideas only for them to disappear when the water stops.

The year is 2003. You have the ultimate Powermac G4 underneath your desk, completely maxed out. It's running OS X 10.4, and you have gobs of space. You have every game imaginable installed on it but now it's time to install some applications and utilities. What do you install?

It's a ginormous off-lease Lenovo Thinkstation P920 to replace my not-so-ginormous off-lease HP Z420.

Dual Xeon Gold 6140s - 18 cores each, 36 cores total, 72 threads. 32GB of RAM for now, the machine has 16-DIMM slots so it can take 1TB of RAM. 5 PCIe x 16 slots, I think 9 total PCIe slots. Dual m.2 slots, 10 SATA ports, and a 1.4kW power supply.

@paradroyd - it's possible options. If I had them all hooked up, I'm sure the lights would dim when I turned on this beast.

We had some downtime in the middle of the night due to loss of power - a F2-3 tornado came through and did a number south of us. Some fatalities - no damage at the house here though.

Now that it’s summer, it’s time to do some sunbrighting. It’s like retrobrighting with no chemicals and just leaving it in the sun for a week.

Tomorrow is a big day... why? Because tomorrow is the BBS's...33rd Anniversary! That's right, we've been sitting around living in the past for over 3 decades.Starting off on a Commodore 64 running Image 1.2a, we moved quickly to Cbase 3.1, then DLG for the Amiga, to Renegade for the PC, then to Synchronet, back to Cbase and finally, back to Centipede in 2013 where we're staying!Congrats to us! Hopefully we'll be around a bit longer!#bbs #commodore #retrocomputing

The original author of Hermes BBS for the Macintosh has made the previous versions available, as well as a working serial generator. If you've tried to create a Hermes BBS with externals, you'll understand what a big deal this is. https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/hermes-bbs. #hermes #bbs #macintosh

Merry Christmas to everyone! Not a creature is stirring here so I’m quietly zipping up files for the BBS. Thanks to everyone who has helped keep me sane this year, you don’t know how much it means to me. #bbs #commodore #c128 #c64.

The BBSes modem has been replaced for those who use the dialup option! We put an old school USR courier in its place. If you’re a dialup user, please give it a shot 479-553-8122 #bbs #modem #dialup.
