Pretty fast right now, I did compile it with lucid though (opposite with GTK which was default for what came with Slackware). So far, so good, didn't experience any problems with elfeed or otherwise.

@11112011@freespeechextremist.com It would be very weird for me talking to myself in third person. 🤣

@fitheach@mstdn.io @fedops@fosstodon.org @withaveeay@mastodon.scot NsCDE can be a pretty good alternative too.

@fitheach@mstdn.io @fedops@fosstodon.org @withaveeay@mastodon.scot That's my secondary system, after xmonad, and occasionally I login and play with it. I like it very much. Used to use Xfce, but they switched to GTK3, so it's not for me anymore. I have no comparison to the original CDE.

I am not a programmer, so I patched together my xmonad config, just looking atother people's stuff, and occasionally trying to do something that's beyond myknowledge. I like the error messages too. I don't think I'll ever learn haskellor others. My brain is simple not wired that way. People close to me think, thatI am some kind of computer wizard, cause I use Linux for such a long time (16years next month), but my mother also used Linux, and I saw other averagecomputer users use Linux. It's nothing special really. I think the people behindit are, that they could make something that works, despite not working for somebig company together. The power of free software, right? And the power ofintroverts too!Sorry if that's seems a little bit emotional to you, but I am reading a goodbook about introverts this week, and I really start to accept myself, to seemyself in a different light.I hope you guys have a good weekend!

Control is 75% off at GOG. As much as I played this game, I liked theatmosphere. Got to the first boss, couldn't beat it with under 10 fps. Not muchI can do about it at the moment, since I don't control the prices (pun intended)of food, shelter and other stuff.https://www.gog.com/en/game/control_ultimate_edition

This Saturday is pretty chill so far. Reading about being introvert, and redesigning my site -> coming soon(tm). Also testing Amnesia (GOG) if it works better than the Steam version. I don't accept that a 12 year old game can run only at low settings, while Alien: Isolation from 2014 can run almost everything at high, 60 fps with the same card. The game is not even in the same category graphics wise.

@cellfourteen@mastodon.social Based on this description it would be nice for me, except I didn't really like VR. I have no physical symptoms of using it, I just feel that in the long run it would be addictive.

I don't know why people are still talking about the origin of the coooooof. It's clear that it was the Martians who made it!

I think doom-lantern is an extremely nice theme for Emacs. It's in the doom-themes package (MELPA). https://github.com/jilen/emacs-doom-themesBased on this:https://github.com/Gitleptune/lantern-theme#emacs #themes

Even after just 100 minutes (hey I had a long walk this morning), I can say this is one of the best podcast episode I have ever listened to...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5ApNHAPJVUFirst hour is basically a biography of Huberman, and it's very interesting how he become a scientist.#science #Huberman #JockoPodcast #body #mind"Andrew Huberman, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and tenured Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He has made numerous significant contributions to the fields of brain development, brain function and neural plasticity, which is the ability of our nervous system to rewire and learn new behaviors, skills and cognitive functioning."
