@amerika @thor To add a little context to their perspective: the guys aren't children of "the West". They grew up in socialist East-Berlin (some of them played in underground punk bands eyed suspiciously by authorities) and watched the collapse of East Germany and the Eastern bloc live as young adults and the direct follow-up of westernization and "americanization" from Zero at full speed.The song reflects on the territorial take-over without military means - the cultural. It's IMHO pictured best in the song with the chorus line "und vor Paris steht Micky Maus"."to stand (stehen) in front of (vor) location" is either a military term to express an army stand located near that location or a literal statement of place, in this case Disneyland Paris whose opening could be interpreted as the second D-Day just without the losses.

@thor They start building those "microapartment" houses here, too in popular inner city areas. These are absurdly pricey but what are you going to do if there is nothing left to rent?
