       @cedled I think this is one of the things I appreciate about #FountainPens… many other expensive hobbies have a lot of elitists or gatekeepers, but I’ve never found that to be true about the FP community, and when people try to gatekeep they get smacked down by other people.

       @futurebird have you looked into something like the Zebra Sarasa Dry refills? They are quick drying and work in the Zebra Sarasa Grand pen body, which is a much nicer pen than a BIC: https://www.zebrapen.com/pages/sarasa-grand-gel-retractable-penAnother path is something like a Retro 51 or Parker Jotter with Jetstream SXR-600 refills— the best ballpoint ink available. Lots of nice design options in this space.
