@bclindner @mdszy Hmm. Here we actually have had confused comments from some clients that it wasn't super accurate but then we are based in Yurop

@toast @dankwraith and they have an explicit goal that an amateur / hobbyist should be able to roll their own working client in ~1 day right?

Why does is every single fucking piece of AWS so bureaucratic. Why is it that within 45 seconds of trying to look up a specific task I'm drowning in fucking word soup and just decide "Fuck it, I'll do it myself on EC2 or an RPi with open source tools instead"

Cleaned up our in-house library, shaved 2 whole GB off the docker image (goodbye conda), and I'm finally setting up a CI/CD pipeline to automate the builds.I am so glad to have this in motion :happycat:

@dankwraith fwiw this really reminds me of scientific research where most labs will have their own esoteric set of spaghetti monsters from self-taught coders and usually three or four pieces of software for accomplishing essentially the same task that were developed independently with no collaboration by three postdocs and a PhD

Still working on collecting a reading list, trying to understand why people somehow think blockchains are the ultimate hammer to fix all nails. The more I look at it the more destabilising it is. It so so feels like there's just... nothing their. And I keep finding more and more breathless evangelism and wackadoo proposals.

@cj :110: Absolutely this. I really resent the idea of finding 'useful' blockchain applications because you cannot build atop one of these token-funded ledgers without accepting and empowering the ideology underneath it. Trust no-one, market logic will decide, privacy is for those who can afford it, and everything must be on chain.
