@cathal@bob @cjdThe best answer to don't be a shithead is people who can defend themselves and others around them - once an ego takes a big enough bruising then the shitheads go elsewhere :)From birth we need to build strong people, mentally, emotionally and physically.

@starbreakerProbably couldn't DDoS them from outside of their network, maybe from inside using their own devices against them. You'd first need to gain access to those devices though.

@wolftuneif they feel their decision is the right call, why should they have to apologise?Maybe instead just note that they are happy to compromise on their core issue and thus should not be trusted to defend this core issue?@Shamar @cwebber @aral

@wolftuneWhen you are compromising to such an extent on your Core Issue, your very reason for being then surely you would be better off cancelling the event with as much publicity as possible and stating that you cannot raise the funds to stage the event in an honest way.@Shamar @cwebber @aral

@mdhughesEvery extra line of code increases the likelihood of a vulnerability. Also, a buggy DRM implementation prevents you from legitimately watching content (as you have noticed).By implementing DRM, Netflix are accusing you (their paying customer) of being thieving scum who can't be trusted - you want to have dealings with a corporation that thinks that way about you?@rain

@mdhughes @rainDRM has never gone wrong has it - Amazon famously remotely wiped George Orwell's 1984 from Kindle's around the globe because it is still copyrighted in the US even though it was in the Public Domain in most other places.

@wizardAs a believer in the distributed web, you should hate anyone whose instance uses Cloudflare or any other CDN - all CDN's have the same problems - Centralisation but also, they have to do MiTM attacks by design in order to be able to serve content (unless it is served over HTTP which is just as bad).

@sireebobDifferentiate between a Proprietary System and Proprietary Software maybe?A Proprietary System may utilise Open Source components but still be undesirable due to the use of some proprietary components :)@devilish @foxhkron
