@tante How about we first treat everybody equally? Instead of an ultra complex tax system that they'll evade, a simple one every 8 year old understands and can play by the same rules as everybody else. No rich, no poor, "special case". Everybody by the same rules as a citizen, clear simple rules for everybody.Would that be a flat tax? I don't thing so. Would there be rich & poor? yes because people are different, elite youtubers and football players will still out-earn Nobel laureates because that is what the market pays. How about we only have Value Added Tax? Because we live in a society and we work towards improving the lives of others through value add. Buyer and seller consensually engage. People like Jeff Bezos will still be very rich, because we buy from amazon. And if you don't like him being rich, don't buy from amazon. You pay the tax when you buy, because you have found something worth to buy in the society, likewise your employer pays VAT when he pays you, because he found a useful worker to hire in the society. Playing by different rules and forcing employees to income tax, which constantly increases, punishing disproportionately the most productive members of society is very unfair. Finally it you want to "expropriate the rich" don't expect the government to do it. It will never happen, the government is for the rich. You have to take that task in your hands and go French Revolution style, reclaiming the wealth produced from society back to it. Because in those times too, the French state was for the rich. So I would say, you must go like the Americans did and embrace the "right to bear arms". You can't expropriate the rich without weapons, it wont happen. And that is why every government tries to take weapons away from its citizens instead of guaranteeing an educated society where we defend private property and practice civility among each other.
