@mansr @stancarey I think in this instance it may feel worse because there was a corporate fashion for calling everything a "solution". You weren't a refuse disposal company, you offered "refuse disposal solutions". Private Eye had a regular column of them.

@grammargirl "you guys" is the only non-American option there and also familiar - well "youse" is part of some British dialects as well but still a bit specialised. People know what "y'all" means but they'd only use it if pretending to be American. So I would say that "you guys" would beat the others over time fairly easily and probably already has.

That is the second time I've taken my new duck food out to the park and there was already someone there feeding them (the duck feeding access point is quite small unless you just want pigeons to get it all) 😠I thought I would be safe at 10am on a Sunday but no. In fact two different families with small children today.
