@neauoire I've only got the Teenage Engineering 170 and 400, and I think I'd need the POM-16 for midi to use those with Orca. A hacked Pilot to play samples will be a fun little exercise, who knows where it'll lead. I did do a quick bit of research on a cheap multitimbral synth and the Waldorf Blofeld looks tempting, there's plenty on eBay.

I have begun the process of getting help for this possible broken foot. First step was a call to the the virtual walk-in centre at the local GP (run extremely badly by Locala). Waiting now for an SMS with a link to a video call with a physician. I was told I might just be asked to go to A&E... Not doing that on New Year's Eve. Given there's been little improvement in 4 days it's clear I'll need an X-ray.

These 'slip gate' posts are all over the hills here. They predate machined wood and cheap metal hinges. A straight branch/post would be cut to size and put into hole on one side then slipped into the L shaped groove on the other.
