#musicproduction #recording If you're recording some #vocals at home in a small room: - try putting a big house plant (avocado for example) behind your mic, it will help scatter the sound and should help get a better room tone as it acts as a diffuser.- Get closer to the mic- Don't be afraid to crank the gain knob past 3 o'clock if you need to.- Get someone to operate the DAW if you're recording yourself. Even your 10 year old nephew can hit record. It keeps you in creative mode.

@thisJamin is a just a Multiband compressor, a basic EQ and a limiter right? Nothing that can't be replaced by some good #linuxaudio plugins (as I do it on a daily basis ;) )And Jamin had a few phasing issues as far as I remember.@falktx
