@BrodieOnLinux The weirdest part about this criticism is that it exists at all. I mean, people work on wathever they feel like it, its not like theres a mandate to only work towards some grand objective.

@BrodieOnLinux Whats more important is the user being able to tell that an app given what its supposed to do has no business requiring certain permissions, otherwise, the pop up might as well ask for anything and the user will just click ok anyway. Linux users tend to care about security and privacy, but most people really don't give a damn.

@BrodieOnLinux So wouldn't it be accurate to say that it only feels wrong because someone else did it wrong ? Either Gnome being stubborn about CSD and QT default behaviour which was patched as you pointed out.
