@tomasino @janus_k @gedvondur > I get that Tutanota is in a different countryYes, it is an EU company, so any European country can demand your billing data and Germany;'s business must yield. Otherwise their owners risk up to 5y in jail.https://www.buzer.de/258_StGB.htmProton is estabilished in Switzerland, and every country that has bilateral invetigative powers assistance agreement with Switzerland can ask for assistance, it usually is a lenghty process but eventually it'll succeed. In the hype case I saw my opinion is that FBI going after someone just lied to Swiss authorities about the probable cause (some "imminent threat" cases are processed fast there, and the lawless US administration exploited this path). The sadest thing in this hyped thread is to see so many people conflating encryption with anonymity.

@tomasino This is a dress rehearsal for the #midterms. #USA gICEtapo thugs now are learning how to build huge lines. In states like Georgia handing out food or water to people standing in line to vote. TSA works, ICE disturbs. In non-R districts at least one polling station must open. There is no hard obligation to have more than one.(Georgia) “The law makes it a misdemeanor to give away food or water within 150 feet of the outer edge of a polling place building or within 25 feet of any voter in line. Violations of this law are punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. ”

@filippo > In symmetric encryption, we don’t need to do anything, thankfullyOk. So the IoT garden must rewind to the Kerberos or physical provisioning. I can't imagine lattices on small silicon yet.Thank you, Filippo.

@futurebird We just got two news, one fatal and one reassuring:33% of Americans surveyed today unconditionally support DJT's plan to obliterate civilization so it can never be brought to the US again.

@futurebird Heh, should take a photos of all my colonies and at last know their species names. Those under the stairs small and flocking to the apples, red chili painful living to the woods road, then bigger almost black cherry on a sunny clearing. And some other have their paths up and down the hazel bush, while others wander among the roses where they graze and milk the aphids. Mother Nature is full of tiny miracles...@apLundell

@futurebird Got two. Enjoy :)) The hazel ants haven't emerged from beneath the hazel yet. The aphid-herding ants on the rose bush will be tending their flocks around the end of July.
