@mhamzahkhan How is the tagging confusing? At least in my CRS226 it's quite straightforward. You specify "egress VLAN tag" when you want to pass VLAN as tagged to interface. This is used for example for VLAN trunking. You can have many VLAN tags for one port. Then you have both ingress and egress VLAN translation. This is used for example for untagged ports where you want certain ports to have certain VLAN as untagged. So translation for untagged is (VLAN <ID> -> VLAN 0).

@mhamzahkhan Of course Mikrotik gives a lot of freedom to build complex VLAN networks. There's both customer VLAN and service VLAN. Use customer VLAN if you don't need VLAN inside VLAN.And the translation allows converting from VLAN ID to another which is really nice when for example ISP delivers multiple networks via VLAN in same uplink. So you can take untagged network and translate it to your own (e.g. 0 -> 42) and the tagged and translate that (8 -> 50) and same for egress (42->0, 50->8).

@minoru Writing to flash might lead to premature failure of the flash storage. I've avoided graphing to disk due to that.

@Hyolobrika It still wouldn't eliminate the issue where the home servers just get disconnected from Internet due to rogue wife with vacuum cleaner, hamster with appetite for copper cables, etc.Having the content distributed across content consumers like #IPFS does might help eliminate some of these.

@odesa You could probably also do "Rust".into() or From::from("Rust").

@lamp @mikrotik somehow broke wifiwave2 in RouterOS 7.9 and haven't been able to fix it since.RouterOS 7.8 works. Or just reboot the access point every couple of days.I wish this issue is resolved soon...

@EU_Commission Charles Babbage (b. 1791, d. 1871) might not agree with the first statement. He invented the first digital computer a century before chips, other than potato chips, were invented 😎And first potato chip recipe is from year 1817.

@adamasnemesis The reality of sleeping in moon was that they weren't comfortable nor did they sleep well in earliest missions. In the Apollo 11 mission they slept on floor. The Apollo 12 introduced hammocks, but sleep was bad due to environment with a lot of light and noisy equipment.Apollo 14 landed in bad spot with 7° tilt of the lander and the astronauts couldn't sleep. Finally on Apollo 15 there was some success with sleep. But the breakthrough of sleep was only in missions 16 and 17.

@lamp Do you have traffic from device connected to ether2 to device connected to ether4?
