@BartV deserves your love and admiration for the work he's done with Blendernation and Blenderartists. Been utilizing these for 15 years since back in the Elysiun days! When I check Feedly, these days only 3 things update regularly: Blender Nation, Cartoonbrew, and James Gurney. Esp. right now while deprogramming Big 4 web ownership, I really appreciate how those Blender hubs are very active and kicking butt. #b3d #blender

#enshittificationUnity, Twitter, Chrome, Google, etc... when it happens, the psychology behind it is "you're too chicken to abandon us, because you know how much work that would be." And it is. It's definitely work. Almost a year ago, at the #blenderconference with so many global #b3d friends who knew each other through #twitter, we all felt anguish together when Musk bought it on October 27. Switching to Mastodon was work. But the best work. Righteous, cleansing work. Get open, forever.

Basically my big fear about Israel/Palestine is that, historically, the American Left has schizophrenic paper-thin cognition about the realpolitik of voting, and will heroically, childishly declare they won't vote if this or that political issue blows gently on them. A lot of people can't name a single Israeli or Palestinian they've met IRL, but due to ragebait coming from their rectangle of dopamine, they'll decide against filling in those tiny ballot bubbles and boom, 3 more Trump justices

I'm actually wondering if Mastodon's lack of ads and spyware is good for my health. I think back in the day, I relied on the valleys of corporate twiddling on internet life-wasters like Facebook, Twitter, and Reddit to occasionally make me cry out "fuck this site!" in anger and quit a site for a while. With Mastodon there's no stick to discourage my daily usage. Logging out for a bit to ruminate on this.
