@futurebird Teach them how to iteratively refine their web searches. Start with any error message or apparent “problem”, then add context, then evaluate the quality of the sources. Suggest breadth first scanning of the first 10 results to give clues about where to look and how to think abt the problem. What kinds of things could be going wrong? Try a few things, then go back to searching given the additional knowledge. Teaching to fish in that sea of currently helpful fish stories.

@futurebird If I owned Tesla stock, I would consider that theft. Giving away a big fraction of the value of my shares that will not bring me an equal or greater return. In my view paying Elon a billion or two to *leave would probably increase the value of my shares. If they have $56B laying around and don’t want it for expanding the business, just give it to current shareholders owners in proportion to their holdings. The marginal benefit of giving it to Elon is not high enough.

@stux Zelda does both. Large seamless, streaming overworld. With buildings/dungeons as zones. Otherwise you’re faced with a Minecraft world where indoor spaces have to consume a large chunk of the overworld. And that leads to too much walking/running between things. And even there, The Nether is a zone.

@stux The problem with the “fear” of losing billionaires and headquarters of corporations overseas is that it is based on the false assumption that having them domestic is an advantage. Like their money and presence benefits the population. That it must trickle down. But what they do is sail yachts and build golf courses polluting and using resources unwisely. We’d be better off having them play with the Orcas.
