@stux I worked in IT for Taco Bell for a bit in the late 90s.Pizza Hut had bought up a LOT of Winchell’s Donut locations in the early 90s and turned them into delivery-only pizza factories. Some years later, when I was there, they were brainstorming how to drive traffic outside the afternoon/evening pizza delivery rush. I suggested donuts. The room went silent. I didn’t get invited to any more of those business strategy meetings. 🤡

@georgetakei The Ultimate in Irony.This sign is currently in my garage. I inherited it from my father, who grew up in Arcadia. He would have been about 11 or 12 when the “camp” was active. Trees and shrubs were clearly more important to the Army than the Japanese Americans interned there. It’s a reminder to me, every day, of man’s inhumanity to man.

@futurebird Hmm. Stella stuck her nose in some trash on our walk last week, and ended up with a nose full of ants. Had I posted a pic of it, and tagged it with both ants and dogs, would your filter have blocked it?(I didn’t take pictures. I was helping brush the ants off her face and giggling)
