Hi all! By way of an #introduction, I'm Norbert. I was born in Austria, lived in Germany for most of my adult life, and have been living in the northwestern part of Tokyo with my Japanese wife for more than four years now. #Autumn colors on the premises of Kita-in Temple in #Kawagoe, #Japan. @PhenomX6 Oh, nice, you have a Mamiya TLR - always wanted to shoot with one of those. 👍 Yeah, it's gotten expensive -- I found that eating cup noodles a few times instead of going to the restaurant helps with bearing the cost 😅

"At the Soba Restaurant"Takao is a mountainous area north of #Kyoto, that is reached on a one-hour bus ride from the city. It is home to some great historic temples, as well as to a few traditional soba noodle restaurants. One Friday October evening many years ago in southwestern #Germany, after returning home from the office, I was just getting ready to do some errands for the weekend. I casually looked outside the window and saw a rainbow rising above the fields, amidst a most unique play of shadows and light. After the earlier-mentioned visit to the Austrian café on Sunday, my wife and I rode the Ikegami Line to Ikegami Station, from where we walked to Ikegami Honmon-ji, a hilltop temple in Tokyo's Ota Ward dedicated to the spirit of the famed Buddhist sage Nichiren.
