Many people are familiar with the famous Daibutsu (Big Buddha) statues in Kamakura, Nara and Hyogo (Kobe). But did you know that there is also a “Tokyo Daibutsu”at Joren-ji Temple in Itabashi Ward? At 13 meters tall, it is actually the third-largest in Japan behind Nara and Kamakura.
