On my recent cross-country travels, I met a couple on their way home to Orange County in California. They drove their Tesla and marveled how they were able to find charging stations at Marble Canyon and points along the way. They seemed satisfied with the time spent charging their car. I joked that I could make a good living opening a diner at one of these charging stations, to which they remarked, "Good idea! You'd have a captive audience!"...And people wonder why I left California.

I thought I would want to travel the USA by rail, but came to realize, even though there's no TSA to deal with, I would place myself in captivity within a metal tube and at the mercy of Amtrak, ESG and DEI freight rail companies, labor disputes and derailments. A motorcycle looks pretty tempting...

I went grocery shopping for someone who constantly complains about his ailing health. He gave me a grocery list for which half consisted of refined carbohydrates and processed "foods". The other half consisted of ineffective remedies addressing the problems caused by the first half of the list.This makes me sad.

@Johncdvorak @adam Some of the weird noises and music in the clips you get may be something called ASMR or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response meant to trigger a response in the viewer.
