@gunkslinger We need to thank people for volunteering to be in their local militia, not the federal imperial troops.

@nvk Just wait until catch up to 2017, then it gets really spicy and things go in the totally wrong direction.

Have been a Linux user and UNIX/Linux professional since the early 1990's, but after a couple year hiatias, I am back to using Linux full time as a desktop. I am amazed how much better it has gotten in just the last two years or so. I am really enjoying catching up just to the recent improvements.

And, thanks to @derek, for really driving a renewed interest in using Linux as a full time desktop again. His content is top notch for someone like me.

As someone who has been involved in configuration management, and created a configuration management system used by Fortune 50 companies, this new Linux OS is seriously cool and could be a game changer for how Linux systems are built and maintained.https://nixos.org/

@derek Free software is for everyone. And just like free SPEECH, if it is not for everyone, then there is actually is NO free speech.

If Mozilla wants Firefox to become relevant again, they should focus on becoming a 100% open source privacy focused browser, and be an alternative to Brave, not an alternative to Chrome or Edge. There is plenty of room for another good privacy focused browser that unlike Brave is not based on Chrome.

@derek DT, do you know how to make click actions on xmobar for switching desktops, or just to click on the CPU% to bring up top etc? I am very much missing that ability compared to qtile.

@derek FYI, BitWarden can use your own password store that you host on google drive, owncloud etc, no need to depend on their servers or uploading data to them.

@ftl I think I know how to figure out who is lying. Just ask the corpses who were seen getting up and moving around in the corner of the rear view mirror of vehicle driving in the Ukrainian government video, who killed them. They should be able to tell us.

@thelinuxcast Matt, you need to check out the new OpenSUSE Aeon desktop distro. I have run nixos for a while, tried all the Fedora silverblue/ublue/bazzites, and even Vanilla OS for a bit. And, I think this new distro by OpenSUSE finally feels like immutable done right. It is basically an immutable version of Tumbleweed. https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Aeon

@h4890 @thelinuxcast I think OpenSUSE will be around for a long time. SUSE is still is a very popular commercial Linux distro in the EU, basically the Red Hat of the EU, and as long as it remains so, then OpenSUSE will exist.
