       @SolusProject Thanks for caring about protecting your users privacy AND for being transparent about it!Has the Google-DNS-issue been resolved? Is this tracked in phabricator?Also, to be clear: does Solus force the user through systemd's DNS per default or is the whole systemd-resolved only a fallback solution not turned on by default as in Debian?Fwiw, I think the local gateway's choice should be the preferred choice. For fallbacks, one more vote for OpenNIC.

       @simsa03 Wow, I can see how you're becomming afraid and angry about this situation and even feel hysterical about the outcome. I guess I would feel the same. Are there any precautions you could take e.g. to secure book collections? Do think you could suggest acting with some sense to your neighbours? Diapers *always* go ibto the bin, not the toilet. One can clean oneself with WATER. Maybe they can see, what trouble and damage they are causing already and change behaviour?

       @piglet @LordCaramac @StephanMatthiesen oh, Danke. Hatte heute noch etwas zu longtermism in einem Artikel gelesen, wo es in den Kontext des demographischen Wandels und Klimagerechtigkeit gesetzt wurde. Habe mir die selbe Frage wie  @danimo gestellt und bin nun schlauer.

       @piglet @LordCaramac @StephanMatthiesen @danimo davon wäre ich auch nicht ausgegangen. Vor einigen Jahren hatte ich eine Weile lang die "The Long Now" fkundation verfolgt und "Anathema" von Neil Stephenson gelesen, welches von der erstgenannten beeinflusst ist, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere. Bei beidem kann ich ich mich an keine solche Tendenz erinnern, aber das lässt sich ja nachprüfen. Techbros sind ja zum Glück nicht immer der relevanteste Gruppenteil.

       @StephanMatthiesen @LordCaramac @herdsoft @piglet @danimo für mich klingt das - gerade hier auf prinzipieller Ebene - sehr nach der gleichen Geschichte, die dem Liberalismus widerfahren ist. Die Theorien von J.S. Mill geben viel her, aus seinem In Liberty folgt seine Forderung des Frauenwahlrechts. Genau die Spiele um „was ist aber die richtige Rechenweise“ und dann schnell „die mit der besten Rechenleistung müssen entscheiden“ sind eben nicht Liberalismus sondern Technokratie.
