@thor the first time I ever got free internet access (mid-90s) I spent a happy afternoon reading the whole of the SubGenius website, and printing it out, at Sunderland University’s expense.

@axwax @SuperDicq It may be force of habit, but I still use “like” as a form of punctuation: “I read this, and (probably) (broadly) agree with you, but don’t have anything substantive to add”.

@Zymurgyman You might have to wait for a few more #WrexhamAFC fans to get here, unless you have the clout to get Ryan and Robbie to join Mastodon

@Raspberry_Pi Congrats, this is first case of career hara-kiri I’ve seen on Mastodon. It coincides with Whamageddon for me, so extra kudos. #SomeoneSpecial

In 1967, there were 322.31 ppm carbon in the atmosphere.Today, there are 416.43 ppm carbon in the atmosphere. That's an increase of 94.12 ppm during my lifetime thus far. These levels are speeding up. As a comparison, carbon only increased 21.31 ppm during the 55 years before my birth.Source: https://www.nature.org/en-us/get-involved/how-to-help/carbon-footprint-calculator/carbon-by-birth-year/

@stux as a cyclist, roundabouts are about the most terrifying - luckily there are bike lanes on the two I regularly pass. I don’t think I’d trust the drivers to see me otherwise.
