       @tante Very good read! I'd add that the immersive virtual worlds of Stephenson's Metaverse or - even more so - Gibson's Matrix could also be seen as metaphors to help people visualize more abstract uses of technology. "Entering a virtual world" is much more understandable than "visiting a website" when websites don't even exist yet.

       @tante Achwas! O_o Ich fand ihn mal extrem sympathisch, habe ihn für seine Arbeit und Gedanken bewundert und mich über den halbwegs regelmäßigen Kontakt via Twitter gefreut, war dann irgendwann aber u.a. von der ständigen Elon-Speichelleckerei nur noch abgestoßen. Weiß der Teufel, warum er das tut (Hoffnung auf Research-Grants?). Jetzt ist er mein primäres Beispiel dafür, dass auch der klügste Mensch nicht vor krassen Fehleinschätzungen gefeit ist. Was ich unendlich schade finde.
