I need additional opinions, PC Enthusiasts...At its worst, PC symptoms were:1) When left awake but inactive for long periods, deadlocks2) 75% of boot attempts deadlocked during startup3) Rarely, bluescreen with "core_watchdog_timeout" error4) Even more rarely, automatic hard restarts before OS bootflow5) Literally zero problems during normal operation. Did a full teardown and rebuild, testing individual parts along the way.It's not the GPU, repro with a different cardIt appears that the fewer parts connected, the less frequently it deadlocks. For example, I removed two SATA SSDs during the rebuild and the machine was able to stay up overnight, which it previously was notBut the very next reboot deadlocked. And hasn't deadlocked in the following 3+ rebootsPSU tester reports all green but obviously that's not under loadRAM replaced completely(2/3)#techsupport #pc

The only possible culprits left, as far as I can tell, are motherboard, CPU, or power supply stability (like, something is happening when components try to wake up from low power states) Or maybe one of the M.2 drives. Seems highly unlikely? I've booted UBCD from USB many times without deadlocking, but I don't think that means much given the simplicity of UBCD(3/3)#techsupport #pc

I'm honestly annoyed with PC gamers' response to Helldivers 2 requiring PSN accounts. Refunding a game you've played for >200hrs because you have to make a new account? It's so childish.If you're worried about a data breach or something, do what most security-conscious people do: use a unique username/password. If you're in one of the few countries where PSN isn't an option you have a legit argument once they actually lock you out but the devs already say they're working on that problem. If you're getting btfo because Sony wants your gameplay data, I have no sympathy.I have plenty of issues with Sony. This ain't one of them

We're back in Tokyo for 2 more nights. Hey #MastoAdmin / #FediAdmin folks, there's a spam wave happening. They are using QR codes with random color schemes so you can't use blurhash filters. And there is no text other than username direct mentionsSpam usernames are random strings, on poorly moderated servers as usualAnyone have recommendations for mitigation? If you don't have an admin team that can handle properly auditing account registrations and dealing with reports quickly, I strongly recommend disabling open registrations on your servers for now#boost #spam
