@koyu @amic > you hackintosh once and then you realize that linux is superiorDepends what you like todo. If you like to get done a job no. If you like to tune your OS endless then yes.

@koyu @amic @espectalll > yes, someone has to make a macos distro which looks like the old macos versions, but runs the latest programsIMHO I tried elementaryOS but at the end, a Mac is a Mac. You don‘t get the same look and feel and also not the same functions (don’t get me wrong, you can do more on Linux but it is not what a Mac user wants todo) then on a Mac.

@koyu @amic @espectalll > mean..what's the mac experience really like? .... That depends with which operating systems you grow up. If you are at an age where Linux was already at the mainstream then it is Linux for you. If you experience something like Windows Me vs. Mac OS vs. Gnome 1 it is something different.

@koyu @amic @espectalll > still doesn't answer my question. like how does the ui feel like compared to other operating systems? Can‘t describe you that as I grow up with GeoWorks vs. AmigaOS. System 7 / Mac OS 8 vs. Windows 98 / Me vs. Gnome 1 and always came back to the Mac. Maybe it is simple a thing what you like todo with the machine.

@koyu @amic @espectalll > you can just use linux right out of the box without the need to bother about anything. In 2019 yes. But not in 1997 / 2001 / 2005 as I choosed Mac OS. Why should I now switch if it does the things I need.

@espectalll @amic @koyu > You could just, well, tweak elementary OS to make it fit better, or see if there's something that works better for you than macOS. Found the self destruct button very fast in elementaryOS. Less then 15 minutes after installing it on a Mac the systemd sub systems started dieing.
