Trying to figure out if I want to self host or get hosted services…Self hosted: $8+$2+time and knowledgeHosted: $5+$3+$2😩Basically, I can self host the whole kit and have to worry about everything I use, like Wordpress updates, password management and more for roughly $10 a month for my current usage, plus the time and effort that I put into that. Or $10 for micro.blog, news blur and dns.

@mike It feels like what I imagine mechanics have to deal with. Special little snowflake build systems, different tooling based on the time of year, massively overengineered systems for stripping or compiling or packaging css and js. Incomprehensible tools that require tools that require yet more tools.
