@vicorva I like most of Harry Connolly's books, and he runs into this a lot. So does Jenna Glass, to the point she had to change pen names (from Jenna Black). She tried to sell a trilogy of world-spanning, multi-perspective, epic fantasy---set in modern day. Nobody would touch it because they didn't know how to market it.

@randomthoughts I'm kinky and bi. I'm a cis man married to a cis woman, so I don't have the experience of the social pressure of being in a visible same-gender relationship, so I can't speak to that. But in terms of relationship to oneself? I would absolutely say so.

A nearby town has Black Lives Matter flags at their town hall. Which is an early-voting station.The NC Republican Party complained to the state board of elections that this is impermissible partisan electioneering too near the polling place.State Board then told Carrboro to take the flags down.Carrboro Town Council held an emergency session this morning and has since told the board of elections they can fuck right off.
