The first principle of being canceled is you try to minimize the fingerprint of those who choose to work with you after that.It makes it that little much harder for troons to figure things out and move onto the next phase. Now Kiwi.net is down.Josh if you're reading this, get a company that doesn't put its branding on the "checking if you're a bot" page. And never mention the company's name. See if you can also remove the company from the WHOIS record. Everything has to be done in the most clandestine manner possible. Discretion is key with everything in operations like these.

@neigh You can at least make it difficult for the small fries (which are usually the first to act and "investigate"). Indeed there are a lot of troons in tech (and it's annoying; I'm a Linux developer and you won't believe how many of them are here). The thing is, it'll still take them a bit of time to coordinate, by which time you can also set up some backup solutions and try to have outreach with your provider to prevent them from being spooked.I know it definitely might have not worked in this case, but you at least have a shot at trying that when you exercise a degree of caution.

@neigh I dunno man. At least .st is working. But had I been in this situation (and I can't say I've had clients that experienced something quite this big but it got kind of close with a few of them; no disclosure in public) I would "front out" to the company and make it clear what the kerfuffle is about before making announcements. Again, I don't have experience with things of the exact nature KF had to deal with....I mean, by all means, do the trial by fire, but at least give yourself and the company you work with the possibility of having one day go by where there's enough breathing room to acquaint yourselves. The thing is, I guess, that this strategy Josh is using right now comes with many other contingencies in mind. In that case, perhaps it's not even worth the effort I'm discussing here.Truth is, I don't know the full ins and outs of how KF operates or what cards Josh may have to play with, so I'm pretty much going blind with my suggestions. In other words, talking out of my ass 🤡

@graf IOMMU isn't running fantastically on it but then again it's not a priority for 90-ish percent of the userbase that uses Linux to game or whatever.Also, running Gentoo on a laptop... Do you cross-compile?
