@Meepercat @sclower so I just saw this thread, I cannot *wait* for the shitstorm people are gonna cause, he's apparently, accordign to rumors, I haven't checked the agenda yet, but he's apparently speaking at the NFB convention in July, and of course because I'm an audionerd I'll be recording from the floor. rofl.

@cadence022 @Tehiverse @z you can get forza for PC, I got it with my XBOX gamepass ultimate subscription, but a controller, is ***highly*** recommended. the keyboard isn't very pritty I'm told.

I hate to say it, but this article is *not* wrong, and that comes from someone that used to run a touch+ as a daily driver. note that now I run a braille sense6, but I still agree with the article information. BrailleNote Touch outdated OSIs your BrailleNote having connectivity issues and/or problems with Google applications? A number of TVIs are reporting that the BrailleNote Touch (and other more current Humanware braille notetakers) are running Android 8.1, and old operating system. This old operating system will no longer connect to most school Wi-Fi networks. It is reported that even the current Humanware braille notetakers are running the old operating system. Google no longer receives security updates and is officially no longer supporting Android 8.1 (Android Oreo) was released in August 2017.HumanWare’s website states that the BrailleNote Touch uses the Android KitKat 4.4. Google states that Android KitKat 4.4 will no longer be supported by Google, starting August 2023. Google states that less than 1% of its customers are on KitKat. For many, this is a strong reason to encourage students to use a laptop instead of a braille notetaker. you know my mod team and I were today seriously considering tossing mastodon.social off a cliff, because their were 50, yes, 50, troll/impersonation accounts in total today from that instance, and none of them have been turfed at the source because mastodon.social's moderation policies are laks, but the problem is, and this is the only reason we haven't done it, is their are legit people on that instance. sigh. #mastoadmin #firstworldproblems.
