the open nature of the fedi makes asking about specific things feel weird when you're used to a forum setting for thaton a forum you get structure and road signs that tells you exactly where you need to be for the thing you're looking foron fedi you slide your house window open and yell your question thru a bullhorna fox trotting down the sidewalk at 4:20 in the morning yells back the answer

reminder that suspending an instance ~~only~~ stops yours from announcing statuses to itit does ~~not~~ stop any instance from simply asking for anything not nailed down with follower, direct, or local-only (glitch-soc) scopenor does it stop any instance from asking your client api or subscribing to your streaming api or going through an intermediary instance
