@cjd seems hard to implement imho, it's not really pragmatic unless you get the US mil to unleash # of 0days to brick hardware routers (and they won't do that as they are 1 time use).Maybe China and Russia have some interesting capabilities too.But the Internet has been built to withstand exactly this from the beginning, so, it comes back up quickly, maybe not to stream netflix and YT, but the basics.That cyberpandemic is hard to game theory for me.

I think they overplayed their hands by now, but you are right, they a likely stupid enough to give it a go.In the meantime, I got a few Starlink, not that it's guaranteed to work in those times, but since Elon alluded to the fact that it would, I fell for he 'marketing' tweet of his.I have to admit the service and experience is great.

@MechaSilvio I've seen so many fakes convo of OpenAI that I don't know what to believe. Plus, no time to try to reproduce.But I would argue that the latest versions have been dumb down from earlier on. Helping me programming has worse ego? and anything more philosophical feels dumb down?Of course, this is very limited and unscientific, but I cannot stand the bullshit it comes up with when helping you to program. It's like, it speculates that some functions/apis even exists!

Thus, this implies that higher AI won't allow us to succeed passed levels that could threaten the current AI (s) in place.A great book exploring such idea is Dark Intelligence by Neal Asher.

@cjd I wonder a few things with this country's situation:- how could they pull this off on their own? Sounds unlikely.- who helped them and why?- how can they manage to control the prisoners so much to the point of walking leaning forward? Is it acting?
