@oldclumsy_nowmad @futurebird I was going to look it up myself but realised the futility of it. IEEE is not a military organisation and real military standards tend to start with MIL, I think. Even if not, that whole line at the bottom screams fake.

@Nonilex He still believes the "spontaneous uprising" thing?By chance, I was rewatching Curtis's documentary "HyperNormalisation" and in it I noticed where he said...Instead of a violence born out ofpolitical struggles for power,it became replaced by a muchsimpler image of an evil tyrantat the head of a rogue statewho became more like an archcriminalwho wanted to terrorise the world.All the politics and power dropped away.The problem was just them andtheir evil personalities.And after 9/11, this led to anew, and equally simple, idea.That if only you could removethese tyrannical figures,then the grateful people of their countrywould transform naturally into a democracy,because they would be free of the evil.Trump is still apparently waiting for the grateful people of Iran to rise up against the (still) tyrannical regime. I'm sure that destroying their civilian infrastructure is exactly what's needed to reassure them that the benevolent US regime has their backs... /s

@neauoire Only just came across this stuff you're doing recently and it looks fascinating. I wonder how you implement bags in the background. Since you use the / operator to remove or replace things I was wondering if perhaps each bag is a bignum with entities inside the sets (sorry, bags) represented by distinct prime numbers, and the bag as a whole being the product of all members...It's an idea I toyed with a long time ago (for a different application) and I'd be delighted to find out that someone else might be using the same thing.Again, it's all just about seeing the / sign and jumping to (probably unwarranted) conclusions.

@aral They were doing so well on calling out antisemitism as being an unfounded "blood libel" until the pictures of that IDF soldier smashing the face off Jesus (in effigy, on a cross) in Lebanon recently.Just in case someone thinks I'm antisemitic or promoting an unfounded "blood libel" accusation: I'm not. All I'm saying is that the state of Israel isn't helping in the cause against antisemitism.
