The side that believes he died owns the building and rented synagogue space to the other. A bunch of students felt like they were being deprived of their right to ritual baths in a neighboring building and decided to tunnel to them, potentially undermining the structural integrity of all buildings involved. They got caught, the landlord decided to try to fill the tunnel in with cement to try to salvage the building, they went back in anyway. NYPD was called, and they decided to trash the building on the way out.It's insanity, but Chabad tends to be a small and weird minority of Judaism, and when you get into niche beliefs you tend to attract and cultivate some weird and extreme people.
