Just finished building this guy. It's a fun project and a decent learning environment to mash the RP2040 C++ environment with 6502 Assembly. It's an unlikely but surprisingly good pairing. What would be better on the RP2040, though? Rust.

Supposed to be stormy this afternoon so I’m gonna try and come up with some fun things to do with the Neo6502. This silly benchmark is about 11 times faster than a PAL VIC-20. Should be fun.

VIC-20 FPGA VIC replacement Friday lunch break progress. Tweaked quite a bit on the test pattern generator. Clock is dragging just a little and my line duration is VERY close to what a VIC-20 normally puts out. That's an RGBi output on an NTSC VIC-20 without a VIC chip in it. Looks... good actually. Woot! #vicsrevenge

The update/upgrade process of @Discourse is just so slick. It's one click for both docker and the software itself. I continue to be impressed by this team.I live and breathe the command line, but my hat is off to the people who maintain this product.

A little Thursday lunch break fun... I was reading a great (long) article by Stephen Wolfram last night on 50 years of Conway's Game of Life. I decided to dust off some of my attempts at making an implementation I'm proud of and took a crack at an ncurses version in C.First 15 seconds: RandomNext 15 seconds: GliderFollowing 15 seconds: Glider Gun I'm happy with the way this came out.
