@ray It reminds me somehow of the markdown journals I kept before leaving the US forever really. Many were wistful and sad things about what could be but my archeology mentor RWR would always remind me way back when that there is nothing so constant as change. Sometimes sitting at a fire in the middle of the Mojave Desert watching the sky cartwheel and dance before us. Words and drawings and rhythms of life Ray. You are blessed to find them, see the changes, and be the changes.

@alexandra @michele hey Alex. I’ve tried to have two blogs. One for short things like on micro.blog and another for long posts like on write.as. It never worked and nothing got written regularly as I puzzled and agonized over which one. For me the answer is one. Then share the writing out. I also like webmentions and regular comments so I got those working on my blot blog. Now I just write on blot. Write it all.

@alexandra @michele yep. That was my failure personally. Thinking I could do two blogs. used Wordpress awhile and installed plugins for webmentions and activitypub. But grew tired of work involved and wanted simpler. exported posts and David at blot created markdown file for me. added in three years of older posts. Now all on blot. Including webfinger webmentions and comments. Thanks to @ray for his help with webmentions. This works well!

@ray @alexandra It reminds me for some reason of doing archeology out in the middle of nowhere in Nevada. We would camp almost in the middle and then the US Air Force would send helicopters to pick us up to take us all the way to the middle of nowhere. Small radar sites they wished to setup only reachable by chopper. We were part of this team including biologists, geologists and us stone and bone types.I think we were outside of Fallon Nevada then.

I come out to the pool to read. Alin decides I must also eat fruit. She cuts up fresh mangos, papaya, banana and she knows I like grapes, rambutan and dragon fruit. I have not started the reading yet. Now the pool looks inviting. Lazy someday that I think could be Saturday. Life in Cambodia on someday Saturday.
