We reached Otres beach. What to do? Eat of course at this Cambodian place. Menu in Khmer. Never matters when they have photos and my wife helps. Ended up what I saw on the menu was so good. This place cool. End of a rather long day. Some beer and very nice food. I’m spoiled with her here. When we go to Cambodian places I just enjoy the whole thing more. #cambodia #sihanoukville #otresbeach

Coffee alone along Otres beach. So many changes here. Sat through breakfast with cold toast and a grilled hotdog masquerading as sausage. Then my wife’s friends showed up. Some days I’m just not a social person. Most days. It’s easier to just go walk alone. Find the Sea breeze cafe. Stop for a coffee. Write some. Some of my #Today is wanting to find my own time. I guess I don’t want the never ending press of people. The explanations. The reasons. Why. Why not. So and so speaks English so I should have time for a good conversation. Well no. I’m not a stunning conversationalist or even a bad one. It’s by far easier to not pretend to be something I would struggle to assume. Walking is nice by the beach. Maybe some photos to come.

#Today I am all about being back. Writing in a favored coffee spot. Feeling this sense of listlessness and missing something. I took a different morning walk to reach Lalatte coffee. A place with soft couches and music and finding that solitary push. I come here every so often so the barista and some customers remembers me. It’s a local place with this wonderful vibe. I’m using the wonderful PWA @phanpy app. So nice on my iOS thingy and the Mac. Weather is simply gorgeous so I slow down. Feel this breeze wander around inside. Hear the gentle strain of conversation in Khmer. Amidst friendly nods from Khmer people.

#today we learned our favorite cafe by the river is moving away from the river. The locations along the river are so nice for morning coffees and breakfast. Sitting in the mornings is the slow paced morning I’ve come to just want when we go. Two things. One is the scene sitting at the cafe. Second is a place I stop often to watch another part of the city go by. Living the days in #siemreap is slowing down. Finding some wonder in this kingdom. That’s not too hard.

#today down my street for coffee an tea. The little Khmer coffee place that lets me watch this part of Siem Reap do its thing. This is like the coffee culture thing here I really enjoy. Watching Cambodians getting their caffeine fixes. Finding my morning being even less than wanted. The mornings here are beautiful and cool these days. A respite from either the rain and heat or just the heat.
